Recently had some great shows at the store, check the blog at inertiajax.com for pictures and the like. No more shows though, until we get some soundproofing done. Don't email us asking to book you a show at the store, BUT these days plenty of houses in Jacksonville are hooking up shows, so DO email us about that. Speaking of shows, Environmental Youth Crunch will be on tour late February / early March. Drop us a line if you can help. Read the blog at inertiajax.com. Gainesville Fest was awesome. EYC's set at 1982 was super fun, then I sat outside the Atlantic most of Saturday with records from the store. People waiting on orders, they are on the way with extra goodies. That's really all I can say about that. The Gomek 7" is finished, we had them during the fest. Waiting on getting the rest of covers for mailorders. Post-Fest stoked insanity includes confirming an upcoming release between Tubers and Brainworms. More on that soon. Also, I'm in a new band called Vultures. Our very simple website is here at myspace.com/floridavultures. Yeah yeah, I know it's a myspace page, and that's not too punk or cool these days. But check it out, we did some simple CSS stylesheets to block out almost all the advertisements and make the page our own. Best of both world maybe? The ability to connect and post information to myspace users, while not actually having your myspace page resemble a horribly designed site of a media behemoth. 08.26.07 The whole mailorder thing was silly. Wow, what was I thinking. So excited about everything in Europe, so I come home and add to my already busy life by trying to do mailorder. No thanks. The page will resemble what it should shortly. That is, me selling records I release and a few good friends records. Playing with Environmental Youth Crunch at Richmond's Best Friends Day was unbelievable. Thanks to all of Richmond for everything and the massive amount of Floridians who made the drive. ..... Some new releases we have in the works.. Gomek 7" Should be done soon. The vinyl is ready, and the band is finishing up the covers. Cassette "s/t" LP (Features Sam Jones of Rumbleseat/Bitchin, this will be a Lp version of the CD on Bakery Outlet) ..... Some new additions to our humble catalog... Environmental Youth Crunch "Let's Ride" LP - $8ppd Environmental Youth Crunch "Let's Ride" CD - $9ppd Fiya "Room For One More" 7" - $4ppd (we found a few of these trying to hide) ..... We'll have these soon from Rorschach Records.. Brainworms (new) 7" - $5ppd V/A - Best Friends Day Compilation - $11ppd News! 07.15.07 Tour with Environmental Youth Crunch and Tubers was grand. We only had enough records rushed in time for tour, we'll have copies of the new EYC LP available for mailorder soon. In the mean time, we are working on getting back into the mailorder business. We'll have all the Dead Tank stuff (well duh!) and tons of other things from our storefront in Jacksonville, Fl. We're crazy excited. Visit the new page at INERTIA / DEAD TANK MAILORDER. We aren't open yet. But very soon your need to purchase This Bike is a Pipe Bomb or Dr. Dre records along with the EYC / Defiance Ohio 7" will be fulfilled. 06.02.07 Tour page updated for Environmental Youth Crunch, Fiya, Merkit and Gomek. The EYC "Let's Ride" LP is currently being worked on for tour. And... That's all the news I guess. 05.06.07 The page that so seldomly gets updated... If you want more updates (tho not so much Dead Tank Records news.. hmm) you can go to inertiajax.com. It's the site for our store and a blog I manage. OK. To anyone who had to wait or is still waiting for a Defiance Ohio / Environmental Youth Crunch split 7"... Sorry. Going as fast as I can. No Idea Records now has copies of that record as well. That's always a fun posibility too. We are rapidly approaching being out of this record, and will have a repress of it for the EYC / Tubers Europe tour. Also, during the tour if you order a record - you get to wait until I get back. Updated tour dates for Environmental Youth Crunch and Civilization have been posted. The EYC "Let's Ride" album has not been send off the the plant yet. We are waiting on the final mixdown of everything, including a rad song sung by Jacob Hamilton's family. On the slumbering distribution side of things, James, one of the trusty and rad staff members of Inertia is really amped on doing mailorder through the store. Which means soon you can order Defiance Ohio, EYC and Merkit records AND LPs and CDs such as Straight Outta Compton, Ramones, Bonnie Prince Billy, Boris, Fucked Up, Dr Dre, Dropdead etc. So that will be cool. Civilization is currently / finally (!!) recording. So expect something to come of that. 02.27.07 Environmental Youth Crunch has recorded for the new "Let's Ride" LP. The Religious as Fuck / Gomek 5" is totally happening! Stay tuned. 02.22.07 Updated tour dates for Defiance Ohio,. FPO play SxE hardcore vegan anarcho punk fastcore from Macedonia! Forever Positively Obsessed!!! Both sides rip all the way through. Red vinyl variations.. Merkit / Demian split 7" Merkit is from Ft. Myers FL. Three new songs on here by them, one of which is a fun-filled tribute to the D-Beat formula, plus two other hc/punk tunes and big song explanations and an insert explaining why the whole globalization thing is for the birds. Demian hails from Brazil and shares this slab with 6 songs of killer hc with hints of thrash and grind and even some speed metal style picking, all held together with some nasty female vocals and good commentary in the lyrics. The insert has lyrics and song explanations in English and Spanish. There are 500 pressed w/ hand screened covers using recycled paper. Ten Volt Shock "6 Null 3" CD Plug in, and get the FULL POWER! The 2nd full album by this Emo-Noise-Rock trio from Freiburg/Germany, with 10 electroshock-blizzards to thrill your ears, shake your bodies and rock your socks off. Feel the high-energy voltage of this electrifying album, that sounds like a combination of BIG BLACK's darkness with the intensity of HAMMERHEAD (US) and the emotion of RITES OF SPRING! |
